how does the bose system work

i have a chance to get that cargo cover with the two amps built in it. you know the one that came in some cars with premium sound. i am wondering how it hooks up if it will make my pioneer speakers any louder or is it just a waste but something cool to have. thanks

if u r talking about the bose system that came in the 4th gens then i think i can kinda help ya in a way. it would be a waste of time cause the amp has alot of unlabeled wires that go into it. and i mean alot. what i also was amazed at was the size of the amp. those things are tiny! i mean like a 3 by 2 by 1 inch metal box!and keep the box it comes in casue the sub is usless without it.

It's not a big deal at all. There are 4 wires for each speaker. One hot wire for the amp one ground wire for the amp one signal wire for the speaker and one feedback wire for the speaker. Just run a 12V wire back there off of the fuse block labeled Radio (weird huh?) and then run a common ground to somewhere on the chassis. Then wire 'em up like normal speakers. I don' t remember all the color codes, but you should be able to look at it and figure it out. Either that or some time with a multi-meter couldn't hurt.
