I just quoted a guy $72 for an unfinished 3/4" MDF 3rd gen. box w/o carpet. You really can't beat that for a well put together MDF box. Let me know if you're interested!

You definately can't beat that. Hell, that's just plain dirt cheap! I couldn't imagine doing all that work for such a small profit.

If not, then get the specs and build one yourself or have a local care audio store do it. If you don't wanna go that way, another good box company is Q-Logic, I know they make Customs.

As for me, I make them either to maunufacturer specs, or to customer specs, whichever they prefer. Shipping is via UPS or freight if need be. I can also ship them ready to assemble to save on shipping.

As soon as you get some pics of thirdgen's boxes i'd be interested to see them, or you can e-mail them to me at: Eighty4z28@wideopenwest.com

It took a little longer than I thought to get the box together. I got the design done, and most of the box cut out and in the car. I've probably got another 2-3 hours of work to finish it before I can take good pics. My zip is 98022. Shipping to Florida is about $48. That's about as high as it would get in the lower 48. I should be able to post pics and specs (airspace available) by Tue or Wed. Jim was right about the work involved. I think I'm only going to sell the first 5 boxes at this price.

Now you see why I get $250. Even at that price I only build a couple a year because it's not worth the time unless I'm REALLY bored.
