I know some of you have 4th Gen's, I was wondering if any of you have replaced the stock CD Player with an aftermarket one? If so would you want to sell the 4th gen radio? My sister wants a CD player for her GMC Jimmy.


Also, I am looking for a stock Radio for an 85 Firebird. Whether it is CD or Tape. Did they make CD players for our cars?

try ebay for the 4thgen deck....very few people around here have 4thgens....

They did, but they are very uncommon, and I've heard they don't work with CD-Rs, if you can find one they are usually in the $150-200 range, and I don't think they were an option until 89, when they changed the wiring harnesses around...so you'd probably have to get an adapter...
