general stereo question...

can you hook up an amp for a car to your home stereo? i wanna get these subs (2 8" car subs) and a cheap *** amp for them

but i was wondering if the amp would work with my stereo.Thanks in advance.

as long as you can convert the power from your house electric plug to the amp you can hook them up. In the winter my buddy has his 2 Pyle 15's from his boat in his computer room. They sound pretty decent.

ok cool man thanks, i was just makin sure i guess that the OHMS requirement wouldnt **** everything to high hell.I was planning and hooking them straight from the sub port on my sound card.

for the price of a good converter that will supply enough current, you could go and buy a 250w class a/b amp from parts express....and prob still have more cash in hand.
