Stock wires gauge?

Stock wires gauge?

what size gauge are my stock speaker wire..I have a Pioneer 45x4 head unit and I got pioneer 6x9s and I was wondering should i get lower gauge wire...

small.....

Just go to radio shack or wal-mart and buy a 50ft roll of 16ga wire. Cheap, doesn't take much work, and can only help.

i believe stock speaker wire is in the the range of 20-18... actually i'm kinda positive. for a safer(today's recievers are much more high powered) and cleaner sound... i would drop it down to 16. 14 is too much for just running the speakers off of a head unit. mcss383's got the right idea - that's what i did, too. walmart or radiochack wire is great, and it's not that expensive...
