the red line for my stereo that comes formt he ignition is dead no matter what, is there a way to re-run this? I think the guy that had it before me yanked it out where it was conencted to

 

Is the wire to the stereo dead, or is the ACC terminal in the fuse panel dead?

If it's just the wire, then you can check it by taking the stereo out (if you haven't already) and run a test light on it. If you get nothing, check the fuse panel terminal.

If it's just the wire, replace it. If it's the terminal to the fuse panel, you'll have to pull it and check all the connections going into it.

i was working on a pos camaro about 3 months ago that had the same problem, i checkked the fuses and couldnt figgure out the problem. well it turned out the kid was cheap/poor and couldnt pay me more than he was already for his new deck, so i hooked up his new deck, and told him hes going to have to run a wire from the battery to the stereo. its not to hard, but its fairly time consumming. good luck, tell us what you do.

 

I ended up just using another line that I knew worked (the orange one from the lil 2 wire connector) for the acc line and the rest as normal, couldn't figure out what the freak was wrong with it.

Fuse = good, wire from fusebox to stereo = connected

I paid 650 bucks for my camaro, the insides were dirty and the seals were all screwed up the trunk latch was whack the tune port system was all screwed up and the ecm is missing and the tranny is shot and it won't go from into 3rd gear no matter what when you put it in it, its like being in nuetral.

I got a new trunk latch,steam cleaned the insides,got a ecm,and a working tuneport system from a friend for 20 bucks still gotta swap the new tpi system over and fix the trans, and I know thats going to be a pain cuz:

A. I've never worked on a transmission.
B. I'm broke and make 80 bucks on each paycheck.
C. My dad has never even touched a transmission.

but on the bright side not much more to go =)
