RTA Question
Does anyone have any great ideas for where I can get my hands on an RTA. I have a set of EQT's I want to tune for SQ comps and I will do the other tweaking with my preamp in the dash for daily listening. The local car audio shops don't have one. It has been a long time since I have looked into one so are there any sources of computer software that some of you are running on a laptop or something. I don't want to really buy a new one for hundreds of dollars because I don't have a recurring need for one. Just wondering if any of who have found a source of getting this done without having to buy one. I don't think it's possible to get a good smooth curve by tuning EQT's by ear. Unless your superman.

Youll have a hard time finding one for cheap. I recommend trying to find a shop that has one. Youll spend 500+ on one.
Another thing is......even after you tune with an RTA youll have agood flat response, but 99.9% of people dont like the way a flat system sounds. Try to write down the settings you need for a good RTA alignment and keep them for competition day as youll probably be one of the many who doesnt like the way it sounds after an RTA tuning.
