My amp won't get power... help?

Alright check this out... my amp won't get power. I checked every inch of wiring, and found nothing wrong. The wire is getting power to the amp, but the amp just won't work. I checked the fuses, they look fine. I was thinking maybe there's a circuit breaker or something built into the amp that went off?

The day before i had to get into my door panels and fix a window that had gotten off track. I had to move around a bunch of wires, but i checked before i put them back on to make sure they were ok, and they were. The next time i try to listen to my sound, the amp gets no power, and my factory speakers make this weird noise like a cb radio that's searching for a station.

By the way, car audio is NOT my thing, so you're gonna have to spell stuff out for me :P

are you getting any kind of noise from any speakers that are running off the head unit? do they work at all? or what?

First thing that pops into my head is maybe something went wrong with the remote turn on? *shrug*

head unit? the only speaker that makes the noise is the rear passenger side. it sounds really weird... a little static, mixed with like a scanner searching for a signal or something.

the remote wire is connected, and getting power. one thing about that though... i had a switch that turned off all the sound in the car (for when i saw cops). it didn't turn off power, just basically muted everything. i took that switch off, but i did make sure i put the wire back together...

Did you check that the remote wire is powered when it should be? The amp won't turn on unless there's +12 volts at the remote terminal. To test it you can just run a jumper from your battery feed.

Got a test light? Well its 5 bucks come on Well I had a issue like that but only the protect light was on. unpluged the amp and took it inside. Then I opened it up and found some burned up Transistors, capasitors, resistors what ever they are there was a few brown and black ones.
