antenna amplifier?
anyone ever buy one of these?? a couple of my stations come in like crap and im thinking about getting one of these its about $20 form pepboys. anyone ever tried one of 'em???

Complete waste of money. If that crap worked, every aftermarket head unit would boost the signal.

The problem is that most of them amplify the noise as much as the signal, so you have the same signal to noise ratio. Then ones the signal gets into the radio the AGC cuts the signal back to the same point that it was. That's the simple explanation.
