amp to 6X9 question...
alright, i currently am running a fairly "crappy" system in most eyes but it hits hard for what it is. i have a jenson 220 watt amp to a pioneer 400w 12". i want to upgrade to a rockferd-fosgate (sp) 12" and a lightning audio amp. that info is truly irrelevent but my real question is this. i have a set of 3way jenson 6x9's in the car right now. can i amp them with jenson 220? if i do this, will i have to run a seperate power wire or can i splice into the one i have? is this a good idea at all or do the components i have suck so bad that it's not worth it? just some questions that got me thinking.
im guessing that your existing wire is your power with going to the jenson where it is now, powering the sub.
if that is the case you can get a distribution block to serperate power wire to different amps, also more info on that jenson amp would be helpful in determining if it would power your 6x9s
btw if you do end up with running 2 amps you should upgrade to 4ga wire, less chance of things getting fried

i got the amp from my friend and he got it from his friend and he got it from his friend and so on...kinda like the town **** of amps, has seen the back of everyone's car.... well anyway, it's a 2 channel amp so that's 110w's per channel, the 6x9's say they can handle 150 a piece but i just don't know, how would i go about hooking in rca's? or just run wire from the rear speaker on the deck to the one amp? or is that too ******* rigged? i have seen some pretty rigged up stuff hit harder then things that look nice.
