Putting in 2 12's in the backseat
Putting in 2 12's in the backseat

Those are the subs that I am getting and I am probably going to put them in the seat portion of the backseat (90% chance taking out that bucket of the seat). What do you guys think about doing a setup like that?

once again, i'll recommend against these subs. also, many people have found that the subs sound better from the well due to the distance from the sub to your ears. the soundwave is allowed more time to develop and reach its full length. or at least better than if it were right behind you. are you really against having them in the well? if not, thats your best bet for a good sounding setup
yup, pyramid sucks. Im not one to usually say that because usually people say this is the best brand because I own it and this sucks because I dont. But its kind of like xplod, everyone knows it blows
. Im not saying dont get em, just expect a sub-par experience. I wouldnt take out my back seats for anything less than solobarics, but it depends on your taste. If you want your rear hatch, what about a side well mounted box? You could probly up your sub costs a bit and go for 1 sub in the side well (jl, kicker, pioneer, the list goes on) and get a better sounding, harder hitting more reliable sub. I dont think I would take my back seats out (often people sit back there) for anything less than four 15 inch (two in the back of course) kicker solobarics
, but if you got your mind set on it, go for it.

You're going to try to mount them *in* the back seat? This I've got to see.

Good looks doesn't equal good sound. They're very cheaply made with absolutely no thought given to material quality or actual functionality. They are made to look good.
heres a tip that applies to MOST subs/headunits/amps prices. good looks and low costs usually mean they are **** for quality. I will admit those subs look good for the price, but if they were any good for quality why wouldnt every other person own them?

How would you explain the type R's then? They have a pretty low price.

first off, the person who thinks a pair o volfenhag's will out do the r's, dont press you luck. stay with the r's. about they price/quality, $40 for a sub is gonna give you a crappy sub, no question. the R's go for around $250 in a store, thats a pretty reasonable price for a pretty good sub. the reason why we can get them online for $120 is because Alpine (and many other car audio companies) do not warrenty online-bought goods. you're not paying for the big service, so a nice chuck is taken outta the price. do you need a warrenty? if you buy good stuff, usually not. what happens if it goes bad? some online companies have their own warrenties. if not, you could still buy another sub and still be around what it would have cost from the store.

Hmm... I guess your right. I bought a minidisk for 120 on the net. Guitar center wanted 300 bucks!!!!
Farneheights are ok for an entry level set up.
Im tellin ya's Diamon Audio is the best way to go. Daimon M3's run about 300 bucks for 2 of them, M5's a little more, i have 2 12M3's and they slam.
my buddy has 1 10M5 in an audi and it comes close if not surpasses my 2 m 3's for the price you cant beat them.
JL also makes good products. ya wanna go really crazy look at a w7. thats the crzyiest sub ive ever seen ecept for the 10 foot (yes i said 10 foot) sub on the wall at stereo sound on market street in philly.
Xtant is pretty good, as well as eclipse. Shop aorund for thease the best place to find htem is on ebay or small electronics stores that buy in bulk and sell for cheap.

Yeah thats the w7 and its a damn mean sub. has a really big throw to it.
The 10 foot one i doubt youll find its not amnufatcutred anymore. The place just has it cause its insane. They dont use it cause it takes a ridiculous amount of amps to power as well

Man, where do you people hear all these subs at? From friends or do some of you frequently demo products at audio shops? I have no idea what most of the subs people ask about sound like.
I can vouch for W0's and not much else.

I might have to argue the Type R comment.
Ok I will.
My subs can kick some serious ***.
They pound hard next to my friends Type R's.
I wouldn't really be able to tell for sure, unless I put some in my car.
But from what I have seen, then can at least match the Type R.

well i've only heard that pyramids suck so i would scratch those, i have personally listened to the volfenhag and i can tell you they hit harder than subs that cost a lot more IE: the punch z's, xplodes, and a few others. this was all done on a crappy sony amp that has blown 5 fuses in the last month, when he gets his new amp i'm sure they will pound harder. i say go with these
I drove by my uncle's house and he said it rattled the window's that's with two 10's from prob. 20 feet away.
If i get a little boom boom in the back i'm going with these no questions asked
