Subs in a Convertible?
Anyone out there have a sub in there convertible? How does it sound with the roof up/down. I'm a little hesitant to do this because i'm afraid that:
A) It will sound like crap/not be heard when the top is down
B) I'll lose that much more space because the convertibles have such small trunk space as it is.
Also, if you've got one, where is it? I'm thinking of making a custom glass box for a single 10 to put in the drivers side space in the trunk (no lock boxes in verts, so there's a bit more room to work with without altering anything else)
Any thoughts, comments would be appreciated
Oh yeah...
And if you've got a vert and pics of your setup post 'em.

I have 2 JBL 10's in my trunk now... they need little airspace so they are nice. I set them up with a panel and grills to match the paint/carpet in my car (black carpet burgundy grills) but one day on a whim flipped it over and sounds a lot better so Iam looking to build a box and the guy I talked to said I can make it fit in the lower well because they do use so little airspace to hit. So I will still have access to a trunk. I will post pics as soon as I get it done. oh and I have a MTX amp pushing them.
How does it sound, with the top up it sounds good, not super pounding but sounds good and with the top down at decent speeds it sounds good but as soon as you get on the interstate you can't really hear it anymore, so thats where good 4x6's in the dash come in.

Hey man... My sister had a sub in her convertible cavalier and it sounded good with the top up or down, She had one 12 in a box facing forward behind the rear seat and you could hear it real clear. Hope that helps.
