That sounds pretty kewl. I'd definently like to see some pics of that.....alot of spray paint they call chorme or aluminum look like a crappy silver.....but..I've never heard of the stuff that you used....must be a good product. I put that piece I made on the very bottom....this allows enough room for my toggle switch....so it doesn't hit the ashtray cover.

You have to take the whole ashtray out.....it should pop right out. Then I just cut to size a piece of plastic that would fit underneath.....where the ashtray was.....so...all you do is take your ashtray out (snaps out) and install a piece of material (whatever you choose) behide where the ashtray was.....

I used a 2 part epoxy to attach it in place.....it's a REALLY REALLY strong glue that won't loosen or anything....
