Holy shnike's man thats exactly what im plannin to do, only my sub box will be even with that, basically just inches below the deck lid. I like the way it looks. I was wondering if anyone would do it before me. my neon set up is gonn abe a bit diff. Im gonna do rope neon aroudn the bowtie, and under the amp will be painted white. IM thinkin about hiding a strobe or two or a black light also in it for added effect. Looks sweet, makes me wana get mine done even more. Do youhave any more pics? Possibly w/normal lighting?

Nice KJ just like mine but i used the CAMARO letteres instead. Word of advice....If you dont already have one get the rear cargo cover. Leaving it out like that is asking for someone to break in an steal your stuff.

Yep that's all I had lying around when I made the box.

I figured, why waste it...

 

Nice setup. I know it's a small thing, but I like the handles you put on the sides of your box in order to get it in and out. It's so simple, but a great idea. I used to struggle to get my old box out with someone else helping.

are those volfenhag's any good? comparable to kicker compvr's or not?

 

They can kick out some major pound.

I have had many people completely surprised.

YOu can feel them a good 50-100 feet away, depending on the crankage.

But you need to have a good amp too, it will make all the difference in the world....

 

Howabout some plans for that amp box? I want to build one, but am not good with making plans. Can read em, just cant make em for some reason...

 

no offense, but it looked a whole lot better in the dark. the carpet needs to go and those handles are not very pleasing to the eyes. they stand out like a sore thumb. for such a high quality amp, you should really get some better subs. all and all i think it has alot of potential but right now, i dont like it.

I think those subs and amp are comparable DECENT quality.

Kj i think it looks decent. Id love to hear what those subs soud like ive never heard of them.

KJ - Very awesome... Have a question.. Is that actually a box in the very rear or is it a extra stout plate ?

Anyway, After a unreal amount of diffrent stereo's and combinations I got my **** together and built an extra stout plate. installed some fosgate 10's and already had infinity's in the sides and B.A.'s in the fronts. twin 100 watt concord amps and a sony 10 disc and it really sounds killer.. Need to redo the back and wanna know what you think about the box or plate thing..

BTW I've hadsome pretty bizzare stuff in my car over the last 10 years. At one point when I was tweak'n I had 26 speakers, 9 amps, 2 crossovers and 5,000 whats of power... Ended up screw'n my gas tank to the car I had so much stuff mounted in there.. no room to boom.. but you could hear me for miles..lol another time I had an 18 inch pioneer center channel that sat in a full inclosure in the middle of my folded down back seat. it weighed too much but oh man did it hit hard..
Anyway, I'm just getting ready to reinstall my system after having my car down for about a year. Speakers have been in the back so long they need to be replaced and the plate is kinda soft so I am gonna do it up.... Like the light thing too...

As far as the box is concerned, it is a full box, not a plate.
It fits the well perfectly.

 

looks good, ....one problem, ... VENTILATION, ...you better go buy you a couple lil fans at the car audio store before you over heat that rockford and spend 500 more bucks getting a new one...that box its n looks to be like a damn oven, .try taking the plexiglass off the top....thatll work....

 

I have intake, and exhaust fans....
