Are q-logic kickpanels really that much worse than fiberglass ones?

My friend is offering me his off his 91 RS for 40 bucks but they're qlogic. I figured that would be a great price. But do you guys think I should just buy the fiberglass ones off here? Also, does anyone have qlogic kickpanels and a 5 speed. Does the kickpanel reach to the clutch? Does it interfere at all? How is the imaging for these? Please give an unbiased opinion if you already have qlogics or djsexays. Thanks a bunch!

qlogics are made of plastic. less rigid than fiberglass. not enclosed (but neither are all fiberglass ones. i wasnt very impressed with them and they are overpriced for what they are. i'd highly recommend getting yourself a set off of one of the guys from here. more custom that way and less expensive.

For 40 bucks I'd do it. I bought a pair quite a while ago to get me by while I was building my custom ones. Actually I still have them for now because I've been to busy to get to building new ones. On a scale from 1-10 I'd give them a 6. But you won't get any better for 40 bucks.

I've seen the Q Logic in a stick car, they're horrible, my DJ Sexay's arent bad at all, specially compared to the Q's

Right here. DJ sold me the molds when he started focusing more on 4th gens. I've been making them ever since. Check out www.subenclosures.com for more info.

if you do get the qlogics, you could coat the inside with fiberglass to strengthen the up a bit

Even though the post is 8 years old, I ran Q-logic's when I competed in IASCA many moons ago.. Imaging was good enough to earn me a few 1st place trophies.

You could always pick up another set of kick panels and fab them up. There are a few pics here on TGO with guys who have done it.
