headunit

keep blowing the "radio" fuse in the fusebox.. as soon as ignition is turned on

all the wiring in the back of the deck appears to be okay.. problem just started after a year of use... deck still ejects cd's..

any suggestions would be appreciated

Is this an aftermarket deck.


If so, just run a line from the batt.
I have to do it on my Alpine, otherwise my fuse will fry if I try to turn o nthe deck...

if the stock wiring is fused at 10 amps (thats what it is isnt it?) then you dont want to run more than that through it.. fire hazard. just run a new wire.

Exactly.

I believe it is either 10, or 20, cant remeber right now.

You go higher than that, and fire follows....
