can i put a 1/2 din EQ with my sony 1 din headunit in the slot?

can i put a 1/2 din EQ with my sony 1 din headunit in the slot without a installation kit or will I still need one? i just bought a 1/2 din Pyramid EQ and was wonderin if it can go in their? if it doesn't have a kit will it move around. there is alot of space in there. i remember a long time ao when i removed the stock unit there was nothing surronding it and it stayed still. anotherthin if the units are stacked, then will they overheat?

It will fit, but i'm not sure if you need an install kit. I would think so, or else it would just slide back. The only heat concern is the tranny, HU's don't usually put out that much heat unless your running it full volume. So a good blanket to enclose the compartment would be good.

right now i'm running a single din headunit with a 1/2 din eq. you need a kit. if you can, get one made by a company called Metra. these are the best kits and i know for a fact (because i am using one) that they have an adapter that allows you to use both a headunit and an eq. it also looks better because the units are more flush than when using just a single din adapter.
