Single 10 inch sub box...

soon i'll have 1 10inch alpine type R, thats all i really want or need (i'm a kid but i want to hear when i get older) i'm wondering where i should put the box and how big would it have to be? i have this big problem with my car not being symmetrical so it woudl have to be dead in the center or hidden, if its hidden in the back (one of the side compartments) can you tell that the sound is coming from one side or the other? thanks alot

Michael
(if anyone has anything for sale that woudl be nice too!...)

good to know, most of us want to hear when we get older also....

If you want to know wheere to put the box you might want to tell us the actual car, what year is it, most of us here put it in the well of the car, or put it in the spare tire compartment...

haha figures i'de leave something like that out, its an 83 camaro... berlinetta (grr).i forgot to mention that my amp is mounted in the well a wierd way so that putting a box in there could be a little difficult. i guess thats what i really needed to say... does anyone know how much space a 10 inch alpine type r would need? that would help alot.

Not sure how much air space your Alpine is going to need but I have 1 10" Alumapro in the well of my car and it only requires something like .7 cubic feet of air space. It is a pretty small box and then I have a custom cover built for it to cover the entire box and then act as an amp rack as well...here's a pict.

wow thats a really nice setup, its sleak and doesnt over do it at all. do you have pics of the inside of it? about where the top of your cover/rack is is where the top of my amp is mounted. its inside the well mounted towards the gas tank, building a box aroudn that would be a pain right? pluss i'de have to get air flow down there too. gahhhh stupid car!
