new alternator

i think i need an ew alternator, didnt know if i should post this here or under electronics. but anyway, who makes a good alternator for our cars?

A/C Delco 105 amp, stay away from Auto Parts Stores remanufactured ones.

It all depends on price, I'm super happy with my 108 amp alt from auto zone and only 60 bucks.

It is a universal one so you gotta spin the case, so I guess you better know how to do that. Real easy but if you do it wrong it another trip to get a new one. auto store like forestcity would do it for you.

everyone else wants 100+ for the same one.

a bunch of my friends had problems with a/c delco. like only lasting 30-40K miles.. or is that average

80s olds 98 cs-144 144amps , they made that alt just for that car cause it had so many options. Friend has one and its wrecked, [we wrecked it / girl in a third gen hit us] I got first dibs on the alt.
