Just ordered my new DVD player

Last night I ordered a JVC KV-DV7 DVD player. Shortly I'm going to get a JVC KD-SH77 deck to go with it. I can't wait to start hacking up the dash in my living room to get this crap installed.

Now I just need to sell my other DVD player and I can buy the deck. Anybody interrested?

well, nothing is finalized yet, but currently my plan is to get a 2nd center console and construct one taller one that will give me a spot above the heater controls to mount it. The plan is to make the console look 100% stock, except have 3 openings instead of 2. Obviously a thirdgen person will notice the difference, but I'm not as worried about a stock appearance as I am about a "could have been stock" appearance.

What, no 'Fast and the Furious"?!

Seriously though, have fun with it. Are you planning on posting progress pics?

Two Lane Blacktop!!!!!!

Are you gonna put like a Firebird pod in there, or just hack the crap out of a Camaro one?

I'm sure it'll be sweet regardless with the way you do stuff.

Just remember to keep one hand on the wheel, and one on the remote.

Uh... no firebird stuff. I want to maintain a stock-type appearance.

I want to get $250, but I'll entertain offers. I paid $300 at DEALER COST a couple years ago for it, and I've used it for a total of around 4 hours. Obviously these things have come down in price, and the $600 retail price it carried 2 years ago doesn't mean squat now, but it is still brand new.

I can send pics tonight. What sort of "specs" are you looking for? There really aren't too many that matter with cd/dvd players. It plays cds, dvds and mp3s, it's about 1.5 DIN size (which is why I'm replacing it) and has a wireless remote control. Anyway... email me and we can discuss it through email. I don't want to use the forum as my personal classified ad.

The DVD player came in today. I took a picture of it on top of my old one to show the difference in size. Hopefully this will make for a better fit where I'm planning on putting it.

EDIT: I suppose the picture would help.
