Thinking of mounting some extra speakers in front, tell me what you think of my ideas
Everyone knows that it is hard to get the quality of sound out of your front 4X6's like you can get out of your 6X9's in the back. I was thinking about trying to mount some extra's up front. The places I was thinking about mounting them were
1. Putting one on each side of the carpeted panels that surround the radio.
2. Maybe put one in the dash on the passenger side. Not sure about that one though, because you would probably need to even it out with one on the drivers side which really doesn't have the room like the passenger side.
3. And last of all, has anybody tried to mount an extra set in the doors, or do some come like that?? Seems like you could get a set in there pretty easy too.
If anyone has tried any of these and has any pictures and/or feedback I would really appreciate it. Or, if you have done other stuff that worked out well for you, could you please share your idea. Thanks in advance, Jason

the kick panels are the only feasible option. on either side of the radio, theres no mounting depth -- the speakers would be sticking way out. at for mounting one on the passengers side, you're right: the imaging would be terrible. REZN8R sells kick panels (http://www.subenclosures.com) which are excellent and cheap, or you can try to hack yours up.

unless you build a panel for your doors, putting them there is a bad idea, there isn't much room. Especially if you have power windows, the motor will be right in the way. The best option is to go with kick panel enclosures. They also offer the best imaging.
