amp install help
i got an xplod amp and on the back there is a switch for hi and low pass filter? what is better and why? and also i was wondering where there is a hole for the amp power cord in the fire wall at ?

You should have an owner's manual that will tell you all that. 
The LP filter is if you're gonna run subs with the amp.
The HP filter is if you're gonna run the other speakers with it, and a sub at the same time.
You shouldn't use the HP filter if you aren't running subs. If it's adjustable, you can try it and play with it until you don't mind some bass being cut off, but you'd have to set it pretty low for it to sound OK, like around 50Hz or lower.
If it's not adjustable, then most companies set them at 80Hz. If you turn it on, and don't have subs, you'll get almost NO BASS at all.
