Giving us a clue as to what you expect out of your subs will help us give you more useful suggestions. Are you looking for SQ, SPL, both? What's your budget?
I recall the Farenheit subs being a relatively cheap sub, and I'm sure that you can do better depending on what your budget and your needs are. I don't have any experience with the new line of PA stuff, but I haven't seen a whole lot of good press on them. I've got a bunch of ideas in mind already, but I want to wait and see what your main goal is.

Ok, you still didn't give me a price range. I'm not sure if you're on a JL 13w7 budget or a Pyramid Super Blue budget.
Since you're looking at HX2s, I'll guess you've got a budget of around $500 for the pair.
This can get you a single JL 10W7, which will sound far better and probably play almost as loud.
You could get a pair of audiomobile Evo 10" subs for under $400. I have no experience with them, but they are a very highly regarded subwoofer. They are supposed to be very good sounding and can get quite loud.

You can get a pair of 10" Elemental Design e10kd4 subs for $250. Again, I've never heard these, but they are regarded as a very good sounding speaker that can get plenty loud.

The resonant engineering HC10d2 subs should come in at around $500/pair, maybe slightly more. Like the others, these are known for very good sound quality and high SPL.

Yes, that's a 10" sub.
There's also the Adire Audio Brahma. This is the sub that I'm planning to buy. This sub is regarded as an equal to the JL W7 sub in terms of output capabilities and sound quality, and at half the price.

Adire also sells the Shiva, which is what put them on the map in car audio. It's dirt cheap, and a very, very good driver. Adire in general has a lot of different subs and all of them are very well liked on the boards I read.
All of these drivers, with the exception of the JL stuff are from companies that aren't as well known as the big names. You don't see them advertised anywhere, but if you spend some time on the audio boards, you hear about them over and over and over and over, and nobody ever has a bad thing to say about them. I haven't heard these with my own ears, but they have done well on the competition circuit and are very well liked.
