Would I need to buy a cap?

(sorry for bein a post ***** but..) Running the set up i have-
2 12'' AW1206Q Audiobahn 1100W Subs
JBL 1200.1 Amp
What type of gauge wire should i use and should i buy a cap? Im having it installed since i've never done it before and this is expensive stuff..i'd rather learn on my friends pyramid subs

before you go and buy a cap, upgrade all the power wiring under the hood. get 4ga and run new wires for bat->alt, bat->ground, and even bat->block. this will help very much. i have a 1000+ watt system and the lights dont even blink. and i dont have a class d either, so that should give ya an idea. i also recommend nothing smaller than 4ga to the amp(s). you can pick up a 4ga kit at walmart for $25. i have yet to ever see anyone else come close to that price. and since wire is wire, it'll do perfectly. i actually picked up two just in case i felt like going overboard

yea, the 1200.1 necessitates 4 gauge wire. use that throughout your system.
