What you think of this?

This is a system I threw together for an 89 S-10 standard cab. I know it doesn't have squat to do with 3rd gens, but it's my first fully finished custom setup. Just want some honest opinions.

Thanx. That isn't for my S-10 though, right now I'm only running a Memphis factory replacements, 6*9's, and another set of 4*6's in the doors. And a Bazooka 8 inch tube. Planning on all Memphis replacements, and some component sets in the Camaro, with a JL 13W7.

Well, one thing I could use a little input on, is a piece I'm planning on making to cover where the backseat was. I wanna do something similar to what the new 'Vette convertibles have. That molded fiberglass piece that comes down around the seats. Time is not really an issue I'm concerned with. The whole car is gonig to take a while to get finished. But, If anyone wants to see what the basic layout is going to be like inside, I can post some quick renderings I have.

I was wondering the same thing but was waiting for somebody else to comment first.

Putting vinal down on a flat surface should produce a good result as long as you put down adhesive, and pull the vinal tight as you put it down. If you were to try it again, I think you'd find much better results.

Actually, you can't tell it from the pic, but it's not vinyl. It's this funky material that feels kinda like velvet, and there's a bunch of padding under it. Didn't really how much I tried to smooth it all out, that's just kinda what happened. But, like I said, first time putting together a custom box. Now, I had 2-12's box for my Berli' that I made and covered in vinyl myself, turned out ok, but I couldn't figure out what the hell to do about the edges.

It's really nice to get some input on the box. Hopefully the weather around here starts to warm up, so I can get started replacing the interior. I also need to get started on the box for the W7. Big question though, what do you think of this idea.

I wanna mount the sub in the trunk, in a fiber box. Not sure if I just wanna smooth out the 'glass and paint it body color, or put some vinyl over top to match the interior. Also, I wanna get a piece of plexi to mount above the sub, and have the 'Vette logo half etched and half cut onto it. What you all think about that idea?

I also planned on buidling a complete fiberglass box, but Have since found that the top need to be made out of MDF, or at least the mounting rings, and you need MDF bracing, or that W7 will blow itself outa the box in nothing flat
