Well I just installed a new system in my car. Actually, I've been doing it over the last 4 months. I ran three strands of 4awg instead of one 1/0 wire because it was easier to work with and it doesn't show under the carpet.

My new system:

2 MA Audio SY7011DX
1800W each at 1ohm
1 MA Audio H504? (Can't remember off top of my head.)
400-600W
2 1Farad caps ( one on each sub amp)

The SY7011DX's are each pushing an Audiobahn AW1208Q (Flames). They are 1500W rms. The other MA Audio amp is running my front four speakers (6x9's and 4.5" plates). All together I'm drawing about 300-350 amps at peak draws. It really kills my lights. The voltage gauge bounces to the music. Strangely enough, I still use my stock alternator. It hasn't burnt up on me yet. I've had a system in my car (which was bought new when I was 16 back in 1986) since 1990. I just replaced my stock ground and power wires from my alternator. I will have to post the pics of the old ones for you. I built this system for straight up SPL. Just waiting for the first show to test it. If you would like to see the whole system I can post some pics. I'm pretty proud of it.

My next upgrade (as soon as my tax money gets here):
I'm going to try some BatCap stuff.

1 BatCap 800
2 BatCap 300

I'm going to put the 300's in parallel with my existing caps. The 800 is going where my spare tire used to be to supply power for the subs.

Let me know what you think.
