Amp and antenna wired together?

I was wondering if it was okay to run both the power antenna switch and the amp switch off the antenna line coming from the back of the headunit. I don't imagine it would be a problem, but I just want to make sure.

Unless your deck has a separate lead for each, that's what you have to do. If you plan to add any other equipment that requires the remote turn-on (such as another amp or a processor), you'd be best off using a relay so that you don't exceed the maximum current draw of the deck's remote lead.

*nods*.. It's a really really cheap headunit, I'm surprised it has a remote lead at all. I've currently got a switch on a line running off the battery, but it's a pain to keep switching them on and off.
