Amp not working, ne ideas?

first off, just let me say, i'm far from being inexperienced with this, but i just cant figure it out.
the other day i was driving along and my subs just stoped. i've checked my power wire, ground wire, remote wire, all posible fuses, RCA's and speaker wire. nothing is wrong. the protection light on my amp isnt on, just the power light, my cd player shows that the subs are on, but i get nothing. Could anyone help me? Please, ASAP, i need this amp for a science fair project in a couple weeks allso.

What kind of amp is it? How did you check the connects? Did you just do it visually or did you us a multimeter? I always recommend using known good components to check the amp. That means getting something with RCA outputs and plugging them into the amp. Then I disconnect the remote wire and put a jumper between the remote pin and the constant 12v+ on the amp. If the amp turns on and the subs start working then you can trace it back to the head unit. If it still doesnt come on then you'll need to verify the power and ground. I wouldn't be surprised if your ground is faulty. A lot of times it will check o.k. with a test light, but won't be a good enough connection to turn the amp on. I've had installs before where everything seemed to be working fine and then a day or two later I'd get a call that the stereo had stopped working. They'd bring the car back and I'd sand the area where the ground wire was attached to. Voila, everything was good as new.
If after all that it still won't turn on, I would suspect some sort of faulty electrical component inside the amp itself.

Good luck.

this is worst possible situation, but if you checked "everything", than mabye it's internal???I'd go to a car audio shop and have them check the internal wires and such.

Have you tried the amp on other subs to see if that works? Have you hooked up another amp to the subs to see if they work? How old is the amp? And like joezero said, what kind of amp is it and how did you check everything?

It's fixed, Thanx for the help. it was internal. i pulled the amp apart, where the RCA's went in, somehow the connection had oxidized or something cause it just had a weird hugh going, so i melted down the souder and re did it with some new stuff and Voila.
