Tweets in the doors

I just finished changing from manual to power windows and now I have a hole in my door panel where the manual crank was. I was wondering if this would be a good location for a set of tweeters. Would it sound ok or not? Thanx for any info!

normally tweeters would be mounted facing you since highs are directional. You'd have to experiment and see if it sounds good, you could also fabricate something there to aim the tweeters at you. I've seen tweeters in doors before but always up towards the side mirror and directional....facing toward the driver or passenger.

I bought some tweeters for 1.99 on ebay to fill those holes in my door panels after I swapped in some power windows...I never hooked them up though, I remember seeing a thread about this and they had decided it wouldn't sound good..

They're too far back and way too far from the other front speakers. Put a plug in the hole or recover your door panels.
