? about monsoon stereo in 3rd gen.

does anyone have any pics of a monsoon stereo in a gta or 3rd gen car.anyone have any install info on that setup please help.

There is no stock monsoon setup in Thirdgens. Are you taking about someone installing one from a 4th gen or another car into their Thirdgen? I doubt the cost/benefit ratio is high enough that anyone has done a complete system. At least not that I have seen.

im am talking about just putting the stereo from a 4th gen into my 3rd gen and leaving my speakers alone.

its not a regular deck, so it may not work like you want it to. its an upgraded stereo package, which means it may have a funky output setup (wiring, ohms, etc). probably not worth the cost/hassle/time.

i'm not running monsoon but i am running a latemodel gm cd player works really nice it was just a pain to mount i had to trim the inside of the trim plate but it worked out though, also depening on the model car you take the radio out of you will need a way to mount it on the sides.

thanks for all the advice guys it sounds to me like im better off going with a din and a 1/2 aftermarket stereo any good sugestions i want the face to be orange like the rest of the car and i want an EQ so any suggestions please let me know thanks again.oh yeah i do want a cd player.

Do you want the face to be orange or the lights. I had a sony aout 3 years ago and you could chose orange or green for the lights. I dont think sony does that anymore thought. Could probally get red lights though.

the face doesnt have to be orange but atleast the lights do.
