Ok, my current setup, is

Alpine CDA7893 Cd player
Memphis Audio "memphis belle" amp 75 x 4 + 1000x1
Boston Pro 6.5" component set in kicks
Boston Pro 10.5 sub in REZN8R stealthbox.

It doesnt seem to hit the low frequencies right, but im thinking i may just need to get it sealed a little better, and possibly try some poly fill.

But onto the main topic, i've been toying with the idea of having a 2nd box for when i really feel like having the boom in and heres what im considering, all will be a sealed box, lets hear some opinions.

1. 2 Eclipse Aluminum Cone 10's
2. 1 JL 10W7 RMS ?
3. 2 JL 10W6v2's
4. 3 Image Dynamic IDQ10's

I would take those 2 JL's or Eclipses over the 1 JL or 3 10's...
That would be more than enough bass to get your feet tingling..
3 10's would be overkill, unless your really into SPL...IMO

.

They are all pretty good choices, i would go with the w7 if you could, but you've got to have a box built like a tank. i have 3 10s, and its not overkill, it all depends on the amp. what amp are you planning to run this with? i have suggestions if you need them, but if you are planning on running any of these subs at their reccomended power you might want to consider a new alternator, and no, a cap wont fix the lack of power problem.

Nah its a box problem, I played around with it last night and tried it in a friends car after adding some poly fill and making sure it was sealed up like tupperware. Still just not right on some of the lower notes. Then i realized the sub requiring a .5 cu ft box, and the box being exactly .5 cuft doesnt leave much room for the volume the huge backside of my sub is taking up. So im going to get a pair of IDQ 10's and fabricate some sort of box for the other side since they call for a .30 - .60 cu ft box and hopefully will prove quite well.

See original post for the amp.

amp

well, if the amp is rated at 1000 watts RMS then that should run the w7 pretty well, but again, you have to have a pretty good charging system ie(stiffening capacitator, optima yellow top battery, High Output alternator) to be able to have a good system, and a new alternator is a must if you are going to be running the w7)
