if i were to make one would it be better if made it made from wood or pleix

mdf and plexi are very similar when comparing the size thickness. both work very well. however, 3/4" plexi can be very expensive. i would love to make a plexi cover for my box, but price does not fit into my budget. i believe plexi i a bit harder to work with and flaws are very noticable.

nope. perform almost exactly the same. i believe plexi may be a bit heavier at similar thicknesses, so that will be a plus over mdf. just make sure its 3/4" or thicker
