fiberglass
has anybody seen or made their own custom fiberglass sub enclosure? Im building a fiberglass box sinse im sick of seeing the same MDF square box in EVERY car on earth! I've been looking for some pics on the net but havent found one, i'm building my fiberglass box but wanted some more ideas or am i the only person thats attempting this?

i made my base all out of wood but im doing more of a 3-d look on top for the 3 10" alpine type-r's

oh yah i see...thats easy!!
you cut out your MDF rings that the subs fit into.... then tack them down with a few supports. Then you strech over a cloth like material, staple it down then you fiberglass it,,,,,cut out your holes.....fiberglass some more .....smooth it out with bondo or sanding smooth then paint and clear coat it.
I seen a good demo on tv (yes cover your eyes guys) supertuner tv
they used a special strechy material specialy designed for boxes like that,,,dont know were to get it tho.
A good site for that is ask around or seach around at: sounddomain.com
theres a few guys there with good pics and how toos, tips and tricks to make sure your build goes smoothly.

yeah thats exatly what im talkin about i'm gonna have the bottom done by the end of the week, then cut out my rings with the router. I'm gonna head to the fabric store for the special material its called fleece then for the stapling boy those electric staplers are a hell of a lot faster. here's a link from where i got the idea to try it dial up beware. http://www.carsound.com/ubb/ultimate...c;f=4;t=003867

I'll get some pics of my install when i got something going i hope to get at least the bottom done this week. my dad is a ***** when it comes to cemicals near the house or the garage so its all done out of the back of my car or at my buddies house. But i'll keep you guys updated with the install.
