Subwoofer and Amp Combo
I like any and all opinions on the best Subwoofer (single or dual 10's or 12's) and amp combo. I'm looking to replace my factory 6x9 and 4x6 speakers with Alpine type S speakers. How will this setup sound with those speakers. Also I'm not planning on running the speakers with an amp but simply with the power from my Pioneer 50x4 watt deck. Will the subwoofers over power the speakers? I'm looking for quality sound with some bump if I need it...but not attention getting, earth shattering bass. (No offense...I like getting attention too!)
I would like to hear what you have to say about JL and Alpine subs and Rockford Fosgate and JBL amps.
So let me hear your suggestions. I'm a rookie High Schooler and know very litlle about this stuff but want to learn.
Thanks:rockon:

You could stick with the Alpine theme and get a Type-R. Granted, I'm not a fan of the "type-r" thing, but there are fairly cheap and have a pretty good sound.
