Sony CDX-5000X

I am trying to install an amp and subwoofers for this reciever into my friends Camaro and I can't seem to get it to work. The reciever has 2 sets of RCA out, front and rear but whenever I plug the RCAs into it you loose the sound from the corresponding factory speakers on the recievers internal amplifier. So how in the hell are you suposed to wire subs up to the Sony Recievers? I also can't find an installation manual for this model anywhere so if someone has that it would be helpful....any ideas?

That an’t right. Have you tried a new set of RCAs or even running them to a different amp? I have the service manual for the CDX-5000x in front of me and I don’t see any thing else that could explain that. But if the RCAs where shorted or there was a short in the amp at the input that could cause this, but still vary weird and not at all likely. And you have the same results from the front and rear pre-amp outputs?

Yea, same results from the front and rear preouts. The amp was pulled out of my car and worked fine with my Alpine deck and I also tested it with an MP3 player and it works fine. The problem is eitehr the cable or the reciever.
