Not being to into sound systems, I have no idea what the stuff i have is worth....but here goes......tell me how much i should ask for it..

(2) Kicker L7 12" square subs and a US Amps 300x Xterminator series...

The subs were $700 and the amp was $800. The stereo place took a reading and said it was 149 decibals reading from the drivers seat. I dont know if thats good compared to most, but i hurt my ears the first week screwing around...

So i have had them sitting in my closet for over a year, and now that I bought a 89 Formula 350, I thought i could sell them and get som cash for some mods.....

Any ideas?

Generally used audio equipment can sell for 50% of new if it's in great shape. Subs are a little harder to sell used than electronics, but if they are in good shape it should be an easy sell. If push comes to shove, throw the stuff on ebay.

as for the 149dB, that's generally a very good number for 2 subs, but since it was done at the driver's seat and not at the IASCA regulated position, it's really hard to compare it to other legit numbers. In any car, you can get much higher numbers by altering your microphone placement. But in any case, that's still a pretty good number for anywhere up front.

I think $400-500 would probably be a good deal if they are in good shape.
You can get two new Kicker L7 12s on ebay for $350. You can get a 400X amp used for $320.
It just depends on the person. Plus your subs are "Two" years old now. Last years and the brand new L7s are grey.
Like I said, it just depends on the buyer. You will probably be able to sell them for more locally because they can hear how much they pound.
