I need a decent 4-channel amp
I don't need anything impressive, i'm looking for an amp that will power my rockford 6x9's (Frc3369) and rockford 5 1/4 (hpc1205). I'm hoping to stay under $150. I was looking at the Profile Clarius cl440. The only reason i need a four channel amp is so that i can use a clarion equalizer to adjust the preamp signal to all speakers. Any suggestions?
I have a Profile clarius cl600 in the trunk that i am going to use to power one 8" rockford he2 sub. Will i really notice a difference between KICKER KX300.4 (38 watts RMS x 4) and a profile cl440 or even profile cl640? what other amps should i be looking at

definetly go with the kicker,it's worth the extra bucks. profile is a lower line amp,and while you can get away with it on the sub(but not really) your highs will sound better with a higher quality amp& the kicker is most certainly that.i also would prefer the alpine( shell out the extra duckies, dude). i've been doing this for a living since 1984.

It's better to do it slower than to have to redo the job.
1. Start with great speakers: (great being relative to your ultimate realistic sound goals). Great speakers will make even a cheap deck sound good. Cheap speakers will not help even a great deck to sound good. The really nice speakers will sound noticeably better instantly whereas the deck first may not do so. You do not realistically need to include a sub at this time.
2. Great deck: Since you already have great speakers, now the great deck will sound awesome and you will have a noticeably better sound quality.
3. Great amp: This will boost your power up to the levels you want them and again, it will noticeably improve your sound. At this point, you also have the power to install your sub and make it sound great as well.
4. Buy your sub: Don't just go for numbers, make sure what you are buying will do what you want it to do. Lots of subs may look good, but if you don't have the room for a proper enclosure they may sound like garbage and that's a drag…. Do it right the first time, it's "CHEAPER" in the "LONG" run and sounds better the whole time!!!!!
IMHO of course…..
