are profile amps really that bad...im thinkign about buying one of the 600watt mono ones....it seems like all the lines are all the same with just different cases

Back in high school I put a Kicker Impulse 8 powered by a 200watt profile amp in my girlfriends truck. I never had any problems with it. We had it for about four years and then sold it. I think for the money they are pretty good(or used to be at least). But like polecat said, I would go with JBL for the money.
