I'm gonna be getting a stealth box and need to know whats a good sub to put in it. I need something to sound really good and money isn't too much of an issue.

Well, if $ isn't a problem I'd go with Rockford Fosgate. I think they're best subs on the market are the HX2 series. Heres a link to Crutchfield's site. This is RF's best 10" sub.

JL W7's all the way. Those subs pound. I heard a 12" yesturday underpower'd it still made my lungs hurt and I had to leave the room ;-).

1 10" W7 would rock your world, hardcore I think. A 12" is even more impressing and the 13.5" is just unreal.

The 13.5" hits so hard you have to have at least a 1 1/4" MDF box or it will blow the seals. One of my friends has redone his box 4 times now cause he keeps on blowing it apart.

If you ever have heard a W6 it's deeper and louder than them.

Ok, I'm only gonna have one sub in my car. So it needs to pound and sound good. I have Boston Acoustics in the dash and Alpines in the side panels, so they sound great, but i have no bass.

Right now all I have is an alpine 7894 HU, but when I get the sub I'm gonna get an amp to power it. Probably around 600 Watts.

What about an Adire Audio Brahma 10? The Brahma's are comparable to the W7s and are way cheaper ($350 for brahma compare to $600(?) for a W7 10). The only thing the W7 has over the brahma is its name and publicity. I'd definitly check out the brahma. I have 2-12's and they are amazing. http://www.adireaudio.com/mobile_aud...hma_series.htm

I've got an alpine type R 10" and it is sweet! its loud and clean! i really like it, i have a fosgate amp pushing it, and it is perfect, but i wouldnt get an 8", you may say you would just like it a little more bassy....but its addicting you will want more! i already do!

I gotta agree w/fireturd on that W7..they're amazing..and you pay for it...if i remember correctly they're dvc's also..linear excursion i think is some ridiculous number like 3 inches..its insane..if not go for an eclipse 8800 series titanium cone dvc..once again amazing sound quality. Basically any high end audio retailer will tell you they're comparible in both price and quality...and seeing as how you said money is not an issue...dont see a problem recommending htem..just be prepared to pay about 400-600 per speaker

they do not have 3" Xmax...

but when you 'buy' a woofer that does do X amount of Xmax, remember it takes alot of power in order to get it to do so. So just because you get a woofer that does 32mm of Xmax, doen't mean it will with 500 watts.

Actually I have seen a 12" W7 with only 500 watts going to it and it hits hard (which is underpowering it).

Main thing to remember is it's like 1k for the box and that 12" sub (not including amp). And the W7's have to have at least 1" MDF or they will blow box's apart. Friend of mine is doing 2 W7 12" in a monte and he is going to have them double the MDF so 2 layers of 3/4" or 1" so the box is going to be 1.5" or 2" thick.

There are a lot better (cheaper) ways to get a hard hitting system. Such as I bought 2 18" used CompVRs on ebay for 240 bucks for both shipped! Pretty cheap when you figure a w7 will run around 500+ all the way up 1k for the sub depending on the size you order.

The W6's are nice too.
