12" alpine type r, or 10" kicker L5

both will be powered by 450 watts bridged from a rockford power series amplifier, in a small sealed enlosure, ~.9 cubic feet for the 10" kicker L5, and about ~1.0 cubic feet for the 12" type R alpine sub.

im looking for a mix of SPL and sound quality, not just one or the other, i listen to all rock and metal music, occasional techno, mostly metal though, with a lot of double bass drum kicks, and fast bass.

reccomendations? thanks!

I vote for the L5 in the .90 and 1 lb of polyfill.

can you tell me more about this sub? any experience with single 10" L5 settups?

i remember being in a friends car with a the same thing, a single 10" L5 in a very small box though, and it was unbelievable, there was no way i would guess it was a single 10" kicker. sounded very clean too, kind of in a split decision.
