Last night i decided i wanted a good sound system but really cheap i had installed stock replacement back speakers and had stock fronts. so i had an idea to use my awia stereo speakers in the back and fit 6x9's in the front. the back was simple i took the speakers out of the enclosure cut holes in a piece of wood that the speakers mounted to put it back in the back speaker enclosure. i had to take out some of the cardboard in the cloth cover so there was no vibrations. for the front speaker it took a good amount of modifications. with the dash pad off i had to cut out areas of plastic on the passenger side it was pretty easy. the drivers side had to have the ac duct cut out and modify the surrounding plastic but it doesnt sit flush. so with them installed i trimmed the dashpad vinyl where the speakercover is put the dashpad on but they covered som of the corners of the speakers but its was ok so the i jus had to kinda press the dash pad down a little to tighten the screws. then that was it i spent $30 on replacement speakers and trashed a stereo but now i have a great sound system. will get sum pics soon.
