what size wire

what guage speaker wire should i get for my infinitys 1200 W 300W RMS?

Also which guage power cable? Right now i thing i have an 8 guage in my car.

thing is i dont have an amp yet but i want one thats gonna be at least 1000W

the speaker wire isnt really as big of a factor as the power wire...if youre pulling a real world 1000 watts you want at least 4 gauge power and ground.

well i dont think the amp will be 1000W RMS but at least 300 W RMS

Play it safe and run a 4 gauge to the back seat to a block and drop it to a 8 gauge then into a cap then the amp.
Why wire it more than once, this way if you want to get a bigger amp later on you dont have to rewire anything.
