Wiring up stereo?

Hey I got a Pioneer DEH-1500. I think I understand all of the wiring, except where should I run the yellow battery wire? With the wiring kit I got from Scosche comes with this plastic plug that looks like you plug it into the fuse panel.

Oh the ground and battery wire for the deck is 16 gauge, while the scosche ground and battery wire is 18 gauge. Do I need to worry about that?

The yellow power wire needs a constant source of power in order to hold the memory. The 18 gauge wire should be just fine. Hope this helps.

It does. I assume this plug goes into the where the orange wire is.

Its the white one.

Don't bother with the yellow wire plug. Just attach it to the yellow wire already leading into the old radio- it does the same thing. And I have a similar wiring kit that was provided to me by the store where I bought my Eclipse-either my wiring was seriously hacked (can't tell-the radio looked the same as others I've seen), or they gave me the wrong damn kit because that adaptor doesn't fit the factory plugs like it's supposed to. It doesn't fit any radio I've seen in the 80-94 year range.

I just pluged it in so it connects to the factory orange wire, and all works well.

But I don't know how to set the clock. oh well

Sorry 'bout that. Been a while since I seen those wiring diagrams. All I have in that area now is a rat's nest of wires since I am redoing my interior.
