Bad Receiver?

Only one of my subs work at a time. For example. If I plug the red RCA cable into the red terminal on the amp only the right sub works. If i connect the red RCA to the white on the amp only the left sub works. The white rca dosn't do anything when connected by itself or with both connected. I tried different RCA cables and it does the same thing. Does this sound like a bad Receiver? It's only a year old. It's a KDC-119.

Hook the subs up mono, and/or split the working cable to both inputs of the amp. It won't 'fix' the problem, but you can get around it.
