My Modified Stereo mount

Here are some pictures of my modified stereo mount.. It looks a lot better than it did sticking way out.. Also you see the row of LED's under it.. thats my modified/ semi re-designed Autometer Air/Fuel Ratio guage..

Well I used most of the original mounting plate.. Cut off the part that stuck out. sanded the mounting surface down thinner so that I could glue on a new flat sheet of plastic to move the deck up. Once that was done I actually had the heat the ducts in the console up to re shape them so that the wire harness and the antenna would clear..

The LED's - What I did for that was gut the Autometer guage.. the thing is actually two parts.. the main one consisting of the IC's and so forth.. then the other board plugs into that one.. The upper one is the one I re-designed.. it consisted of only 20 LED's and two resistors.. and of course a lot of wiring.. lol..

Thanks.. The only thing that sucks is that it's WINTER.. . Now I gotta wait till the spring to try it all out.. Oh well.. plenty of other mods to do to the car over the winter..
