I was wondering how you think this setup would sound:

4x6 Alpine Type-S
6x9 Alpine Type-R
3 10 in JL audio subs or 2 12 in Jl audio subs
and maybe 4-5in midbass speakers in kick panel enclosures

I'm not really sure what amps would be good for this setup but any recommendations on a good amp would be very helpful.

why on earth would you bother 1. making enclosures for a midbass driver, when you could be putting a decent set of components in the kicks, and 2. still be using 4x6's when you could be putting a decent set of components in the kicks?

i agree with the previous post

get a good set of components up front in the kicks
get an amp to power them

then get a seperate amp for the subs

as for amps it really depends on your budget

I would ditch the 4x6's. as for midbass I have yet to hear decent midbass from a kick. there just isn't much room there for an enclosuer.

 

I hear good things about the alpines, and... which JLs are you wanting? I mean.. they have some lower line stuff and some stuff that will make you completly deff lol. Whats your price range on the subs? Well.. anyway I like that combo of brands, I would try it.
