Speaker cutting in and out
Driver side rear speaker in my '92 formula keeps cutting in and out. I've looked at it and it seems to be ok (sounds fine). The wiring looked fine also, but could it be a loose wire? At first the speaker didn't even work, then I started messing around with an amp and it works now, just not 100% of the time.
Any help is appreciated. BTW these are the stock speakers.
Thanks!

It's probably a loose wire somewhere along the line. The most likely culprit is a loose connection on the rear of the speaker. If that's not it, work you way back until you find it. Good luck.

Your amping the stock speakers? Is it the stock head unit?
It’s not uncommon for a HU to get bad soldered connections at the internal amp or harness that would cause intermittent power or audio output problems. If you don’t fined a bad connection in the speaker wires I would look there. Dose it cut in and out if you wiggle the harness at the back of the HU, or if you tap/bang/shake the HU (Vary high tech trouble shooting going on here)?

No, a friend found a 10" sub in his garage and had an amp laying around so we hooked it up for a couple days.
I'm thinking it's a loose connection at the speaker. I'll check it later.
Thanks
