Please Help with Audio

K guys its Christmas and im getting car audio for x-mas whoo hoo. k jsut got the iroc recently and had the bose system in it. Guy i bought it off of has a panasonic head unit installed. and a pair of 6x9s in the back which work. got one 4x6 in the front working but the other does not. the kickpanals and back 4" speakers dont work. so does this mean the speakers had to have been rewired?another question is if i get a new pair of 4x6s and better 6x9s for x-mas can i hook up my kick panal speakers. I mean replace the bose speakers in their with an aftermarket 5.25 speaker. Will it fit? does it have to be rewired? and if so can i have the 6x9s, 4x6s, and 5.25s all running off the head unit? should i jst forget about the 5.25s? Please help guys im lost

Sounds like its been rewired. You would be better off getting an amp to run some of the speakers. You CAN run 6 speakers off a 4 channel deck, but you will have to wire them in series so not to fry the deck. That means less power. You can get a small amp to run the 4x6 and kick panel speakers and use the deck to power the rear. I don't believe any aftermarket speaker will fit the kicks without having to mod the panels.

i would get a good 4-channel amp and ditch one of the sets of speakers. It is possible to actually have too many speakers, they all compete with eachother and cancellation occurs and a bad soundstage.

Farthermore, most people who really care about SQ dont even use rear speakers. Just a good set of fronts because it is much better for the soundstage. If you think about it, the human ear is designed to hear sounds from infront of it, this is why when you hear a strange sound you always turn to face it so you can hear better. Basically its better on the ears to have all the sound coming from in front of you. Some of the major SQ guys actually put their sub enclosures in front of the driver aswell, which gets complicated.

You can get them to fit if you mod the panel. Its hard plastic, but it can be done. Or make your own. I have some 6.5s in kicks that look identical to the stock BOSE panels. All you need is some wood, a saw and a drill. Or you could buy some kick panels.
