Speakers in How big of an amp?
Speakers in How big of an amp?
Well...I got the new speakers in. 5.25 kickers rated at 45rms 90 watt peak and pioneer 4 ways rated 8 rms 350 peak. Im looking into amps right now and im wondering if this will be too much. Im getting a poweracoustic(i know not hte best but better then sony and pyramid) and im wodering what size i should get. The 4 channel 800 watt rated at 85rmsx4 or the 600 rated at 65mrsx4. I hear these are a bit overrated so im not sure. Will y headunit 45x4 and the 85rmsx4 be too much for the speakers and casue them to blow?

Depends on which Sony amp you speak of. I know a guy who loves them to death as that are one of the true AMPs you can get. Meaning it really puts out what it says and clean.
I would have to look it up but a guy who builds his own real 3 and 6 watt amps cracked his basement wall with one.

i would get the 85X4 amp because you can just keep your gains low on the speakers that require less power. and if you want to upgrade in the future you can.
car audio is very addictive to most people, i thought i was going to be happy with my first install too
