like this, i dont want the box to come all the way up to the motorized hatch. I would go measure it myself, but my car is not with me for a while.

I just ran out to my car, roughly speaking I got 16" where I circled....
Simply Put you cant build a box for ur car, without measurments of your car. You can get plans offa the internet, But if u want a true custom fit, just measure urself

You can go to this thread, get the dimensions of that box, then subtract "X" inches from it to get the overall height you want.
But like Daishi said, it'd be a real beotch if you did all that work and it didn't fit, or just looked like dog doo.
